Field Service Power Generation Technician

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Field Service Power Generation Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution Business in Harrisburg, PA.

_ $5,000.00 Sign on Bonus_

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

+ Completing repair activities on generators or components

+ Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner

+ Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools

+ Maintain detailed records of service

+ Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies

+ Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products

+ Maintain own tools

RESPONSIBILITIES

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

+ Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.

+ High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.

+ Advanced experience with electrical repair and maintenance

+ Proficient Diesel Engine experience.

+ Advanced troubleshooting and repairs of generators, transfer switches, and auxiliary components.

+ Setup, troubleshoot and repair basic paralleling generator systems.

+ Understanding switch gear schematics.

+ Ability to train Entry/Intermediate Technicians/Mechanics.

Compensation and Benefits Base

Salary rate commensurate with experience. QUALIFICATIONS

* A current valid license is required for this role

* This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations

* This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). 3 years driving experience

* This role is subject to Department of Transportation  regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use

* Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age

* A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire

* Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older

The work week is M-F from 7am-3:30pm and are subject to change depending on business needs.
