Overview
RETTEW is seeking a CAD & Design Applications Administrator to support, maintain, and enhance Autodesk and Bentley design applications across the organization. Under the direction of the CAD & Design Applications Manager, this role provides technical leadership in the development of standards, workflows, and tools that strengthen project delivery and ensure consistency across teams.

The CAD & Design Applications Administrator is responsible for advanced administration, support, and optimization of CAD/BIM platforms. Under the direction of the CAD & Design Applications Manager, this role guides standards development, resolves complex technical issues, improves workflows, and supports multi-platform project execution.
Responsibilities- Administer and support Autodesk (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Vault/ACC) and Bentley (Micro Station, Open Roads Designer, Project Wise) platforms.
- Maintain CAD/BIM standards, templates, styles, layers/levels, and feature definitions.
- Troubleshoot DREFs, XRefs, model references, coordinate systems, and interoperability challenges.
- Provide advanced end-user support and deliver training on CAD/BIM tools and workflows.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledgebase resources.
- Support automation initiatives using LISP, VBA, Dynamo, or Python.
- Ensure consistency, data integrity, and cross-platform alignment in project delivery.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate DOT and other external standards.
- Contribute to modernization and process-improvement initiatives.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting, Design Technology, or a related field.
- 7–12 years of AEC production drafting/design experience, including at least two years in a lead, standards, or support capacity.
- Proven experience supporting Autodesk and Bentley platforms.
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Autodesk/Bentley Certified Professional credentials or EIT.
- Experience with automation or scripting tools (LISP, VBA, Dynamo, Python).
- Background or interest in IT, BIM management, or data science.
- Familiarity with visualization tools such as Infra Works, Navisworks, Twinmotion, 3ds Max, or Blender.
