Purpose As part of the Worley Graduate Community, you will work under the supervision and mentorship of experienced engineers to support the delivery of mechanical engineering services to Worley and our customers. This role is designed to build your technical capability, industry knowledge, and professional skills while contributing to real projects.
ResponsibilitiesWith guidance and support, you will:
- Assist in delivering mechanical engineering services in accordance with project requirements, applicable standards, and regulatory specifications
- Support engineering calculations, analyses, and technical studies
- Assist in preparing technical documents including specifications, data sheets, reports, and drawings
- Contribute to equipment selection and basic mechanical design activities
- Participate in internal design reviews and project meetings
- Communicate effectively with team members and other disciplines
- Identify technical issues and seek guidance to develop practical solutions
- Continue developing technical competencies through on-the-job experience and structured learning
- 0–3 years of relevant engineering experience
- Internship, vacation work, co-op, or industry placement experience is highly regarded
- Exposure to engineering projects in industrial, energy, resources, or infrastructure sectors is advantageous but not required
- Fundamental understanding of mechanical engineering principles (e.g., thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, materials, and mechanical design)
- Developing knowledge of applicable codes and standards
- Familiarity with engineering software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Solid Works, ANSYS, or similar) is desirable
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong willingness to learn and develop professionally
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Organized with attention to detail
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline from a recognized institution
Eligible and intending to pursue registration as a Professional Engineer (or equivalent chartered status)
