Mechanical Estimator

Highland Consulting Group, a national executive search firm specializing in construction recruitment, is seeking a Mechanical Estimator with expertise in commercial HVAC, plumbing, and piping projects for a growing mechanical contractor in the Harrisburg, PA area.

Our client is a full-service mechanical contractor expanding its team to support commercial and light industrial projects valued at $5 million or more. This is a permanent, on-site position with little to no travel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop master budgets and cost models for HVAC, plumbing, and piping projects.
• Provide conceptual and hard bid estimates for new builds, retrofits, and service projects.
• Maintain and enhance cost databases for accurate estimating.
• Deliver independent change order estimates.
• Support pre-construction cost estimating and project planning.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of estimating experience in mechanical construction (HVAC, plumbing, and piping).
• Strong background in commercial new build, retrofit, and service projects.
• Ability to develop budgets, establish timelines, and produce accurate cost estimates.
• Experience with negotiated and plan-and-spec estimates.
• Strong multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in industry-specific estimating software.
• A four-year degree is preferred but not required.
