Field Service Engineer
As a Field Service Engineer you will travel throughout your assigned service area with a company vehicle to build customer relationships and apply your technical expertise to on‑site projects. You will be responsible for performing installation, startup, maintenance and repair of complex automation equipment and systems, while ensuring operational quality, customer satisfaction and project deliverables.
Responsibilities- Project manage customer field service projects, including needs identification, scheduling, tracking and reporting.
- Provide installation, startup, maintenance and operation support for automation control systems and advanced manufacturing software applications.
- Evaluate and approve operational quality of system equipment and serve as company liaison to customers on technical and administrative matters.
- Participate in the establishment, measurement and achievement of customer satisfaction metrics.
- Develop and write documentation, such as validation project plans, SOPs, qualification summary reports, system audits, technical reports and traceability matrices.
- Communicate project details with Rockwell Automation and customer management.
- Occasional day and overnight travel; primary work is remote with up to 50% commutable travel within the region.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship.
- Availability to travel 50% of the time.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Company vehicle will be provided.
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Automation, Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 2+ years of related experience.
- Experience in industrial automation in sectors such as Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage, Metals, Water/Wastewater.
- PLC programming experience with RSLogix 5, 500, 5000, and Factory Talk Studio software (Studio
5000, Control Logix, Compact Logix). - Experience with Power Flex products, Ethernet/IP, Stratix Switches, Servo/Motion control and Low/Medium Voltage Drives.
- Knowledge of multiple networks including Ether Net, Control Net and Device Net.
