Mechanical Design Engineer

Salary: $95,000-$120,000 + Quarterly Bonus 401 K - 12% matching

• BS Degree Mechanical Engineering or Related Engineering Discipline Required
• Minimum Five (5) Years Mechanical Design Experience Required;
  Conveyor Component Design Preferred
• Minimum Three (3) Years Estimator Experience Preferred
• Experience in automation and Continuous Improvement Processes Required
• 3D CAD and/or Finite Element Analysis Software Experience Required
• Ross ERP & Microsoft Dynamics Customer Relations Management (CRM) Software Experience Preferred

• Possess excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills with ability to work autonomously and/or collaboratively on multiple projects
• Possess creativity as an essential part of brainstorming new ideas, developing or improving devices so they are of good quality, meet space or weight limitations, and achieve the cost objectives of customers
• Possess ability to listen effectively, articulate goals and progress of project(s), and communicate with a team of sales, research, and/or management personnel to meet needs of customers
• Possess competent knowledge of 3D computer assisted design (CAD) and/or finite element analysis software
• Possess functional knowledge of Ross ERP and Microsoft Dynamics CRM Software
• Possess proficient math, science, and computer skills
• Possess a “team member” mentality with complementing ability to self-motivate, multi-task in fast-paced environment, and prioritize to meet ever changing deadlines
• Possess close visual acuity, near vision, fine manipulation, upper limb coordination, and ability to sit for extended periods while performing essential job duties
• Possess ability to work 40+ hours flexible schedule that may require occasional travel.

• Receiving Requests for Quotes (RFQ) and performing site visits to develop surveys for new project proposals.
• Produce preliminary engineering designs through interface with conveyor systems sales personnel.
• Analyze labor, material, equipment, taxes, time requirements, etc, through material take-offs of detailed drawings for fabrication and layout drawings for installation.
• Interface with Corporate Purchasing Department for pricing to prepare detailed, organized estimates of costs.
• Present prepared estimates by compiling numerical and descriptive information.
• Travel to plants to assist with installation and troubleshooting.
• Assist sales with new business development.
• Manage accounts/projects as directed by management personnel.
