Role SnapshotThe Construction Project Manager – Data Center will lead all phases of large-scale, mission-critical data center construction projects, including site development, core and shell, and interior fit-out. You will manage scope, cost, schedule, and quality from preconstruction through commissioning and turnover. The role requires hands-on coordination with contractors, design consultants, and vendors, with a focus on Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, reliability standards, and fast-track delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Manage full lifecycle of data center construction projects, from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout.
- Oversee civil, structural, architectural, and MEP scopes to ensure projects meet performance, quality, and reliability targets.
- Develop and track budgets (hard and soft costs), schedules, change orders, and forecasts.
- Lead procurement and vendor management, including general contractors and owner-furnished equipment suppliers.
- Coordinate constructability reviews, value engineering workshops, and contract negotiations.
- Ensure compliance with EHS policies, safety standards, AHJ requirements, and building codes.
- Maintain document control for RFIs, submittals, invoices, progress reports, and commissioning records.
- Drive project closeout: manage punch lists, as-builts, warranties, and financial reconciliation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
- Provide strategic guidance to clients on risk, cost management, and project delivery best practices.
- 3–5 years of project management experience in construction, with at least 2 years focused on data center builds.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems and commissioning processes in mission-critical environments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Procore, MS Project, or Primavera a plus.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills; ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities in fast-paced settings.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or Architecture required; PMP certification preferred.
- Ability to work on-site as required by client and project needs.
