Transportation Planning/Traffic Specialist
Join our Transportation team in Pennsylvania and help shape the future of mobility.
As a Transportation Planning/Traffic Specialist, you'll work with planners, engineers, data scientists, and operations experts to deliver innovative, multimodal solutions that enhance safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
When you join us, you'll be responsible for:
- Conducting transportation planning, traffic operations, and forecasting studies.
- Developing and evaluating alternatives to address project needs.
- Leading or supporting public engagement activities.
- Preparing and presenting clear, high quality technical reports.
- Applying a multimodal perspective across all projects, considering all users and travel modes.
The successful candidate will have the following experience:
- Experience in leading or managing transportation studies
- Strong understanding of transportation planning and traffic engineering principles.
- Ability to develop innovative planning and mobility solutions.
- Skill in organizing, analyzing, and visualizing transportation data.
- Excellent written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Commitment to continuous learning and building client and team trust.
Here's what you'll need:
- Bachelor's Degree in planning or civil engineering
- PE license or AICP certification
- Substantial experience in long range planning, forecasting, transportation studies, and safety/traffic analysis
- Working knowledge of federal and state transportation planning regulations
- Proficiency with tools such as HCM/HCS, VISSIM, Synchro, SIDRA, and ArcGIS.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical staff, elected officials, and the public.

Minimum $91,400.00 to Upper $
