Exciting Sr. Mechanical Engineering opportunity to become part of a team innovating an advanced fuel system technology that enables diesel engines to operate on 100% bio diesel. This position is ideal for engineers with heavy automotive, control systems and regulatory compliance experience.
The Sr. Mechanical Engineer will work with a hands-on team that designs and develops customized components that will allow installation of the advanced fuel system on OEM vehicles. The position will interact with a field team of engineers and technicians.
Looking for individuals that have a passion for building and developing innovative and alternative energy solutions.
Responsibilities:- Design and develop a variety of electro-mechanical components for system implementation, manufacturing, and production.
- Design of CAN bus or ECU.
- Utilize OEM data to incorporate components design.
- Identify system inefficiencies and create plans to correct.
- Support field integration and troubleshooting by traveling to client site for implementation.
- Develop test and production plans for new products and components.
- Create work instructions and system documentation for installation.
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 7 to 10 years experience in system design for heavy automotive or diesel engine and systems.
- Direct heavy automotive or diesel OEM experience.
- Experience directing and mentoring engineers.
- Experience with creating technical documents.
- Strong proficiency with Auto Desk, Solidworks, and the ability to learn additional computer software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills and organizational skills.
Client has successfully developed a bio-diesel fuel system that can be installed on OEM's. Heavily funded and have several contracts with large US fleets for installation.
