Mechanical Engineer Opportunity
Exciting Mechanical Engineering opportunity to become part of a team innovating an advanced fuel system technology that enables diesel engines to operate on 100% bio diesel. This position is ideal for engineers with heavy automotive, control systems and regulatory compliance experience.
The Mechanical Engineer will work with a hands-on team that designs and develops customized components that will allow installation of the advanced fuel system on OEM vehicles. The position will interact with a field team of engineers and technicians.
Looking for individuals that have a passion for building and developing innovative and alternative energy solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop a variety of electro-mechanical components for system implementation, manufacturing, and production.
- Utilize OEM data to incorporate components design.
- Identify system inefficiencies and create plans to correct.
- Support field integration and troubleshooting by traveling to client site for implementation.
- Develop test and production plans for new products and components.
- Create work instructions and system documentation for installation.
Requirements and
Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
- 5+ years experience in electro-mechanical engineering experience in an automotive product design and manufacturing.
- Experience with creating technical documents.
- Strong proficiency with Auto Desk, Solidworks, and the ability to learn additional computer software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills and organizational skills.
Our client has developed a fuel system for heavy automotive/diesel fleets. This innovation can be installed on OEM fleets and will allow 100% biodiesel usage. Device will reduce carbon emissions by 90 to 95% and offers an affordable alternative to other carbon emission reduction alternatives, such as EV's.
This is a growing company and they are actively marketing and installing systems. They have just signed one of the largest private fleets in the US.
