Job Title
Provide cost effective solutions by supervising and actively contributing to automating, controlling, modernizing, and upgrading current and future production processes. Design and implement robust and easy to use systems to enhance process yields, consistency, safety, reliability and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Go-to resource for system configuration improvements to optimize performance of facility. This would include development & programing of logic, system interlocks, alarms, scripting.
- Responsible for the DCS system Architecture and life cycle. Recommend, get approved and manage projects to ensure system performance.
- Develop PM schedule for site Automation and help with troubleshooting during periods of unplanned downtime.
- Provide a design, specify and select appropriate instruments and/or control systems, and financial justification to improve the processes.
- Perform Instrument engineer duties such as installing, calibrating, troubleshooting and testing plant instrument.
- Work closely with Purchasing to secure selected instruments and equipment on the most economically favorable basis to the company.
- Implement solutions with the assistance of in-house workers or outside contractors.
- Start-up equipment, tune systems, provides written policies and procedures and trains appropriate personnel.
- Work with management to develop system dashboards to streamline process performance monitoring.
- Monitor the performance of the instrumentation and control system contractors.
Education:
- BS or MS Chemical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience is required.
- Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of high quality experience that demonstrates leadership and professional accomplishments in process control design and implementation in the chemical or allied industries. - DCS and PLC
Experience:
Must have working experience with distributed control systems. - Automated Packaging/Robotics:
Familiar with automated Packaging equipment and Robotics programing/operation sequencing. Capable to optimizing existing systems and integrating new operations to existing equipment. - Analytical Ability:
Exceptional analytical skills. The ability to break down, prioritize and solve problems is essential.
