We have been engaged to assist our client, Fulton Bank, in its search for a Financial Accounting Manager. The Financial Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial accounting, month-end close, and reporting activities for the Bank's publicly traded holding company, banking subsidiary, and affiliated non-bank entities. Reporting to the SVP, Assistant Controller, the Financial Accounting Manager will ensure the integrity of financial reporting through effective management of accounting operations, maintenance of internal controls over financial reporting (SOX), and oversight of complex accounting matters.
Qualifications& Required Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field required.
- CPA and a minimum of 2 years of public accounting experience required.
- Minimum of 10 years’ progressive accounting experience, including five or more years in a management role, required.
- Banking industry experience strongly preferred.
- Proven experience overseeing month-end and year-end financial close activities.
- General understanding of SEC reporting requirements.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to be able to manage across the organization and lead a team to the next level of best practices.
