Job DescriptionThe Banking Associate is a professional in banking, plays a key role in delivering TD’s Brand promise at a store location. This role is accountable for accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help Customers achieve their financial goals.
Responsibilities- Process a wide range of banking transactions, including opening new accounts and everyday transactions, during teller line or on the platform.
- Deliver end‑to‑end customer advice: build trust with educational content, provide consultative support, and offer proactive insights and recommendations.
- Use TD systems and tools to engage customers, acquire and deepen relationships, and promote products and services.
- Identify customer financial needs, educate on applicable products, services, and refer to appropriate team members or internal partners.
- Assist customers on teller line and platform with opening/closing personal deposit accounts, debit/credit card issues, regulation E, mobile and online banking.
- Manage lead generation and management activities: create and manage self‑generated leads, partner/retail referral leads, outbound calls, SMS, appointments, and prioritise leads.
- Provide legendary customer service, manage wait times, schedule or reschedule appointments, and lead lobby operations for walk‑in traffic.
- Ensure compliance with all bank policies, risk controls, and regulatory requirements, including BSA/Patriot Act, cash drawer controls, Customer Authentication, and dual control procedures.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 1 year of customer‑facing work experience (volunteering, education, or military experience preferred).
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Teller experience preferred.
- Ability to complete required teller and platform training upon hire.
- Excellent organization, communication, problem‑solving, scheduling, and prioritization skills.
- Sound judgment, independent work with deadlines, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
