Tax Senior Associate – Advocacy & Controversy

Responsibilities

• Provide tax advocacy and controversy services on civil matters.
• Represent clients for IRS notice responses, penalty abatement requests, and other IRS negotiations.
• Advocate on clients' behalf before IRS collections and all 50 state tax agencies.
• Respond to IRS and other tax authority inquiries when requested, make recommendations to the client for consideration.
• Invest in professional development through active participation in training sessions and networking events both internally and externally.
• Demonstrate excellent team skills, positive attitude and high ethical standards.

• 3-6 or more years of experience in a professional services firm providing tax compliance services or equivalent government agency.
• EA required (CPA or JD optional). Must have a PTIN.
• Demonstrated analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project management, communication skills, and developed Microsoft Suite skills (Word, Excel) required.
• Excellent written/verbal communications and collaboration skills.
• Strong project management and facilitation skills.
