Job Description
The FHA REO Officer II is responsible for maintaining the flow of deeds, title evidence and the reimbursement of corporate and servicer advances expenditures due for all HUD insured loans in the REO (real estate owned) department.
• Oversee the preparation and completion of HUD 27011 Part B HUD claims filed by staff
• Maintain database of reconveyed properties
• Process and prepare reconveyed properties; file claim for reacquisition of reconveyed inventory
• Prepare and oversee the preparation of HUD supplemental claims filed by staff for reimbursement of expenses not allowed on original claim
• Process post closeout refunds to and reimbursements from HUD; adjust profit and loss balance accordingly
• Respond to post closing demand letters issued by the MCM; reimburse accordingly
• Respond to annual HUD Part B claim audit requests.
• Understand and implement HUD regulations and guidelines, with fidelity.
Entry-level professional with some experience to contribute on a project or program. Role learns to use professional concepts to resolve problems of limited scope and complexity under close supervision while achieving day-to-day objectives. Works on developmental assignments that are initially routine in nature, requiring limited judgment and decision making. This level is typically focused on self-development. Requires theoretical knowledge through specific education and training.
QualificationsHigh School - Accounting, Relevant professional experience (2-5 years)
