Forgent is a specialty recruiter for financial services firms. Our client is seeking to fill a unique Associate Advisor role on their team. This is the seat that runs the client experience for a $750 million practice. You'd own what every family experiences between meetings — leading a team of three client associates, making sure the advisors walk in prepared and the follow-through actually happens — and you'd be in the meetings yourself.
You'll quickly begin, assisting with the planning work and building the relationships that turn into your own book of clients and evolve this role into a lead advisor. Our client serves about 200 families and expects to cross a billion within the year. Series 7 and 66 required. CFP preferred.
The advisory bench is thinning by design and the meetings still have to happen. This isn't a promise about year three.
Paid at the top of the range for the title, deliberately.All-in comp here sits above where credentialed CFPs land nationally. The partners priced it for someone who can assist with client relationships and the manage the client team at once.
They're hiring you to replace them. The partners are stuck running the client service team themselves, and it's keeping them from their biggest relationships. The plan is for you to take that over, and then hand it off to someone you've trained so you can move into an advisor seat. Your promotion is how the plan works.
Clients here get a lot of attention, and that's the point. The partners will tell you they've spoiled their families — for years, three advisors would sit in on a single client meeting. They're fixing that, and that's what you'd be protecting as the firm grows past a billion.
The planning work is real. One partner was blunt about it: he doesn't want someone who's a CFP because they passed the exam. He wants someone who can sit with a family and work out how their donor-advised fund should be funded and what should go in it.
