Training & Development Coordinator

Are you highly organized, resourceful, and passionate about helping people grow? Allegheny is seeking a detail‑oriented Training & Development Coordinator to support learning initiatives, leadership development programs, system tracking, and department operations across all subsidiaries. In this role, you'll ensure our employees have the tools, training, and support they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities Training Development & Delivery
  • Assist in developing training materials and content for employee development across all Allegheny entities.
  • Help create agendas, presentations, and activities using basic adult learning practices for in‑person, online, and virtual sessions.
  • Upload, organize, and maintain training content using learning and development software.
  • Use the Learning Management System (LMS) to research and recommend courses, assign training, and monitor completion.
  • Coordinate schedules, prepare agendas, and manage logistics to ensure smooth training delivery.
  • Provide administrative support for leadership development programs, including communication, progress tracking, and assembling materials.
  • Coordinate logistics for leadership retreats, including securing locations, scheduling, and equipment needs.
System Oversight & Compliance Tracking
  • Run tracking reports and send completion reminders for required training and assignments.
  • Serve as the first line of support for Organizational Development inquiries and system troubleshooting.
  • Maintain deadline‑driven tracking documents and follow up to ensure compliance.
  • Assist with organizing performance cycle documentation and timelines.
  • Distribute surveys, monitor responses, and support basic data summaries for senior leadership.
  • Maintain team metrics and assist with monthly reporting.
Change, Assessment & Organizational Support
  • Keep department and program documentation up to date.
  • Support tasks related to organizational change initiatives.
  • Gather information for research and development related to programs and processes.
  • Assist with job description audits and organizational structure updates.
  • Partner with HR to ensure alignment between training, OD activities, and broader HR initiatives.
Administrative & Departmental Support
  • Monitor and order supplies to support department needs.
  • Help promote company events and development programs across Allegheny subsidiaries.
  • Coordinate logistics for training programs, workshops, and organizational events.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience creating or supporting training content development.
  • Basic understanding of organizational structures and change management concepts.
  • Experience gathering and summarizing information (e.g., surveys, interviews, focus groups).
  • Ability to help develop and track training plans and timelines.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or similar digital platforms.
  • Strong organization, time management, and ability to anticipate needs.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for process or workflow improvements.
  • Growth mindset with interest in learning new tools and skills.

    Strong written and verbal professional communication skills.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Development/Psychology, Business Administration, Education, or a related field - or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years in training coordination, HR support, administrative or project support, or customer service roles requiring strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience in construction, architectural millwork, manufacturing, or a related industry is a plus.
