Description:
PennDOT seeks a technical business analyst to assist the technical team in gathering and documenting the system requirements for development of an enterprise IT solution to cater the user authorization management needs of various business applications.
Technical Business Analyst with following responsibilities:
- Gather and translate the business needs into detailed software requirements (Functional/Non-Functional, Integration and technical specifications).
- Prepares mock-ups to provide visual aids for requirements gathering.
- Perform system analysis on software programs, applications, and web services/APIs.
- Assist in testing and troubleshooting of new system features during implementation, including documenting defects, errors, and solutions by doing RCA (Root Cause Analysis).
- Analyzes the functional and technical impact of changes and makes sound recommendations on functional and technical improvements to the product.
- Anticipates, identifies, tracks, and resolves issues, risks, action items affecting own work and work of the project team.
- Identifies and assesses probable interactions of related systems and predicts impact of a change in assigned system.
- Maintains a strong working knowledge of system interaction to ensure success in overall architectural solution.
- Work with technical and business teams to identify, develop and implement training for new technology applications and solutions.
- Perform user acceptance testing to validate that technical implementation is in parity with the system requirements.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a technical business analyst.
Experience as a business analyst in technology focused projects.
Hands on technical experience with database tools and structures.
Hands on with SQL query for data analysis.
API testing and validation tools like SOAP-UI, Postman is required.
An understanding of LDAP structure.
Experience with XML, XSD, JSON.
Experience with troubleshooting application issues, understanding of exceptions, log analysis etc.
Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Identify and Access Management experience is preferred.
