Description
The Asset Acquisition Specialist supports the accurate tracking, cataloguing, and quality control of product imagery and copy for our eCommerce product pages.
This role is responsible for pulling and maintaining lists of styles, ensuring assets are correctly requested, received, documented, and stored, and validating that returned assets meet our standards. Light Photoshop support (e.g., cropping, resizing, basic corrections) may be required. The specialist ensures vendor‑provided assets meet standards and the needs of the Specialists by consulting area‑of‑business specific style guides and learning nuances between product types.
This role sits with the eCommerce Content team (responsible for product page (PDP) setups) and supports Content Specialists across all areas of business (AOBs) within a centralized asset acquisition model, operating against shared queues, target dates, and established workflows. The role reports to the Sr. Asset Acquisition Specialist under the eComm Content Program team.
Duties- Pull and consolidate priority product lists requiring imagery or copy from internal trackers.
- Prioritize emails between multiple areas of business and target dates, based on business need.
- Submit vendor asset requests using standardized templates and timelines.
- Follow up with vendors via established escalation process and provide clarification to vendors as needed.
- Track assignments, completions, and uploads in DSG tracking tools. Provide clear status updates on asset requests, escalations, and completions as needed.
- Audit vendor‑provided assets to ensure they meet DSG standards (file naming, composition, image quality, copy accuracy).
- Coordinate imagery ingestion from SharePoint and transfer into DSG DAM systems.
- Support offshore production partners as needed by preparing worklists, instructions, and downloaded assets.
- Perform light Photoshop tasks as needed (cropping, resizing, basic corrections).
- Partner with Content Specialists and managers to troubleshoot rework and clarify requirements.
- Collaborate with team on new ideas to test and opportunities for improvement.
- 1‑3 years’ experience in high volume eCommerce content, digital content operations, digital merchandising, or related role.
- Comfort working in trackers, spreadsheets, and DAM/PIM adjacent tools.
- Strong written communication for vendor outreach and follow ups.
- Proven ability to reprioritize daily based on changing business needs.

Experience:
Microsoft Office Suite, including strong proficiency in Excel. - Preferred:
- Previous eCommerce project management experience.
- Experience with Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems.
- Prior work with FTP sites and vendor asset delivery.
- Basic understanding of eCommerce imagery standards.
- Experience in PIM Systems, Syndigo PIM a plus.
- Experience working with external vendors and offshore partners.
- Prior Photoshop/image editing knowledge.
