Information Technology Technician – Service Desk

Description of WorkAs an Information Technology Technician, your duties include:
- Call Management:
Maintain an available status and respond to incoming requests through approved systems. - Ticket Documentation:
Record client interactions and track issues in Service Now. - Diagnostic Support:
Collect information and guide clients through tests to identify problems. - Issue Resolution:
Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and POS system concerns. - Hardware Coordination:
Arrange repairs and replacements with staff and approved vendors. - System Access:
Use Active Directory to reset passwords and unlock accounts.
- Full‑time employment.
- Work hours:
9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday with a 30‑minute lunch. - Telework:
Part‑time work‑from‑home possible, except for four days per month at the Flank Drive Building, or as operational needs dictate. Requires a securely configured high‑speed internet connection and an approved location in Pennsylvania. Telework eligibility is subject to change. - Salary:

- One year of experience as an IT Help Desk Technician (Commonwealth or equivalent Federal Government title).
- Two years of experience providing IT support services involving hardware and software installation, operation, and maintenance.
- One year of experience providing IT support services involving hardware and software installation, operation, and maintenance and completion of a one‑year apprenticeship in the IT technical support field.
- An associate degree in an IT field.
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
- Must meet the PA residency requirement.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions.
- A conditional offer of employment will require submission of criminal history reports.
- Pass a background investigation; a felony conviction in the last ten years of the prospective date of employment is disqualifying per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed case‑by‑case.
