Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Service Now Solution Architect. You'll design solutions across your work-stream, translate complex requirements into Service Now design and configuration approaches, and provide technical leadership to the development team. Day to day, you'll partner with client architecture and platform teams to advise on platform modernization and governance, ensuring delivery aligns with best practices and organizational standards.

This role supports ongoing and upcoming enterprise engagements, with the flexibility to shift across modules as work streams evolve.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable Service Now solutions, and provide technical leadership to developers and engineers.
• Design and configure core platform components including workflows, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, ACLs, notifications, and integrations.
• Design and implement solutions across Service Now modules based on project needs, such as SPM (Strategic Portfolio Management), Enterprise Architecture, ITSM, ITOM, and CMDB.
• Provide architectural guidance including application portfolio management (APM), technology road mapping, and rationalization aligned to business capabilities.
• Establish and maintain a healthy CMDB aligned to CSDM, supporting data quality, Identification and Reconciliation, and CI ownership and attestation.
• Contribute to technical governance through Architecture Review Board participation, design and code reviews, development standards, and solution validation.
• Plan and execute testing and deployments across Dev, QA, UAT, and Prod, and produce high-quality documentation including solution designs, as-built specs, test plans, runbooks, and deployment guides.

Minimum Qualifications

• 6-10 years of total hands-on Service Now experience, with a focus on solution design and implementation.
• Active Service Now CSA and CAD certifications.
• Two active Service Now CIS (Certified Implementation Specialist) certifications across one or more product areas.
• Strong understanding of CMDB, CSDM, and ITSM, and how they interconnect.
• Experience designing integrations across REST/SOAP APIs, Integration Hub, and MID Server.
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with Agile and/or waterfall delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in SPM and Enterprise Architecture, including APM and asset management.
• CIS certifications in complementary areas such as SPM, or relevant Enterprise Architecture experience.
• Service Now Security Operations experience or certifications (CIS - SIR, CIS - VR ).
• Experience delivering in large enterprise environments with established governance and compliance standards.
• Prior experience mentoring or leading delivery teams across the full project lifecycle.
• Service Now CTA or CMA (for candidates on an architect track).
