This position requires skills in data governance, processing, and collection and an ability to collaborate on projects with various stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Contribute to the improvement of data collection methods, study design, survey administration, measurement instruments, and data management processes.
- Perform data quality assurance by validating datasets for completeness, accuracy, consistency, and integrity, and by identifying and resolving data discrepancies.
- Develop and maintain data documentation, including data codebook, metadata, and documentation of data collection procedures.
- Execute and monitor established data workflows, including running existing Python, R, SQL, and other automated scripts that support recurring data projects.
- Process, transform, and prepare data for analysis.
- Assist with data analysis, interpretation, and reporting to support institutional planning, assessment, program evaluation, and evidence-based decision-making.
- Collaborate with staff across multiple offices to collect, manage, and coordinate data for a variety of projects.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with staff across the institution to facilitate effective collaboration.
- Coordinate project timelines across multiple offices to ensure project milestones and deliverables are completed on schedule.
A key component of this role is to communicate technical and quantitative concepts to a broad, non-technical audience, including senior management, and to train and provide technical support and thought partnership to colleagues. The Associate Data Analyst will be expected to be able to work both independently and as part of a team, and to contribute to multiple projects at a time.
Qualifications- A Bachelor's Degree and 2-3 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
