Process Team Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, prioritise, and schedule departmental workload
• Run quarterly goal-setting meetings and annual performance reviews; manage performance and progressive discipline for your team
• Build out training and development plans for new hires and existing staff
• Take part in recruiting and interviewing for new team members

• Partner with clients to spot and develop new business opportunities
• Work alongside project and client managers to put together technical proposals and respond to RFQs
• Represent the firm at industry conferences, client events, and association meetings
• Sign off on timesheets, expense reports, and PTO requests for the department
• Support project managers with invoicing and accounts receivable follow-up
• Oversee project budgets and contribute to PM evaluations
• Help track change orders, scope changes, purchase orders, and subconsultant activity

• Act as a go-to technical resource for internal teams
• Take on project management duties and/or hands‑on engineering design work as needed
• Support QA/QC standardisation efforts and ensure the department follows established standards

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Civil, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, with 12+ years of relevant experience
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) License required
• Strong background in water/wastewater treatment design
• Proven experience managing staff and leading project teams
• PMP certification is a plus
• A Bachelor's degree in Business, or an MBA, is a plus
