Master Planner

DescriptionASC Engineered Solutions is looking for a Master Planner who is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing the production schedule to ensure on‑time delivery, efficient resource utilization, and alignment with customer demand. This role serves as the central link between sales, operations, supply chain, and production teams, balancing customer requirements with shop floor capacity in a fast‑paced machining/manufacturing environment.
How You Will Help- Manage Production Control Run reports to determine total backlog, including forecasted demand
- Communicate with supervisors regarding material issues
- Communicate with Customer Service regarding lead times, ability to manufacture and expedites per customer based on material availability
- Plans and confirm all Greencastle & Waynesboro PA Facility’s commitment items on Anvil AS400 to ensure the plants are level loaded.
- Responds to and works with all Greencastle & Waynesboro PA Facility’s Action Query messages sent weekly by Central Planning to include updating /changing the DO’s in ERP System.
- Purchase raw material for Greencastle & Waynesboro PA Facility’s.
- Provide Greencastle & Waynesboro PA Facility’s with a monthly forecast such that each facility can plan resources accordingly
- Communicate with Central Planning regarding any delivery issues, rescheduling as needed
- Maintain purchasing hierarchy in ERP System
- Schedule pipe deliveries
- Work with Quality Control on RMA process
- Evaluate conversion of excess and idle inventory
- Coordinate annual physical inventory
- High school diploma or equivalent with additional college level education
- 5 years Production Planning experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft software including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Knowledge of AS/400 system and ERP system
- Understanding of inventory system and parts produced
- Knowledge of production processes and flow
- Ability to manage others
