Location: York, PA
Shift: 2nd Shift
Starting Pay: From $22.00 per hour (higher starting pay available based on experience)
plus a $3.00/hour shift differential.

We are hiring a dependable Steel Yard Equipment Operator to support material handling and shipping operations in a structural steel environment. This position is responsible for safely moving steel products throughout the yard and assisting with loading and unloading activities using heavy equipment.

The ideal candidate has experience operating overhead cranes and working with structural steel. Candidates with related equipment experience who are eager to learn are encouraged to apply.

• Operate overhead cranes to move structural steel safely and efficiently
• Load structural steel onto trailers using an overhead crane
• Move trailers throughout the yard as needed
• Operate Pettibone equipment to transport steel materials
• Unload incoming deliveries and organize materials within the yard
• Assist with general yard operations while following all safety procedures
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Maintain reliable attendance and contribute to a productive team environment

• Previous experience operating overhead cranes in a steel or industrial setting
• Experience loading structural steel with an overhead crane is required
• Experience operating material handling equipment such as Pettibones is preferred
• Ability to work safely in an outdoor work environment

• Starting pay of $22.00 per hour, with higher starting pay available based on experience
• Additional $3.00 per hour shift differential for 2nd Shift
