Licensed Practical Nurse - Southwestern Veterans' Center; 1st, 2nd 3rd Shift

Position

The Department of Military & Veterans Affairs, Southwestern Veterans Center provides dedicated, superior care to our veteran residents and their spouses. We are seeking hard‑working, enthusiastic, compassionate and caring people who are committed to providing exceptional care to our residents.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse in our long‑term care facility, you will plan, implement, and evaluate all assigned resident care in collaboration with a Registered Nurse, ensuring adherence to HIPAA standards. You will work to improve our residents' quality of life by providing the best care possible.

• Full‑time employment (8 hours/day; 40 hours/week)
• Shifts available:
• 1st shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• 2nd shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• 3rd shift: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• Rotating days and weekends; working every other weekend is required
• Lunch period: 30 minutes

  Starting annual salary of $67,558.00 for new hires in Pennsylvania

• Active authorization to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Pennsylvania
• Employees with only a temporary practice permit must obtain a permanent license within one year
• Eligibility for new applicants: within 60 days of completing an approved nursing program
• Proof of valid PA temporary practice permit or licensed practical nurse license required at appointment
• Must be able to perform essential job functions

• Falls under the Older Adult Protective Services Act; conditional offer requires satisfactory criminal history reports and may require a medical examination
