RN- Registered Nurse- Advance Acute Care Trauma Unit

Job Summary

Geisinger is proud to offer an Inpatient RN a hiring incentive up to $23,500 for eligible candidates. The position offers a minimum hourly rate of $41.41 with increased rates for experienced individuals and up to $7 shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts.

• Complete assessments as established by scope of practice and unit standards.
• Address the physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care.
• Formulate, coordinate, and provide a plan of care as established in unit standards, including patient and family education and discharge planning.
• Provide direct patient care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies, according to policy and procedure.
• Evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and revise the plan of care based upon patient response.
• Initiate collaboration with physicians, ancillary personnel, and other interdisciplinary team members to proactively resolve patient needs.
• Problem‑solve, troubleshoot, and take corrective measures in the care and handling of equipment.
• Participate in unit‑based decision‑making regarding the utilization of evidence‑based practice.
• Actively participate as a team member working toward unit and organizational goals and be accountable for unit and system‑specific metrics.
• Actively participate in patient quality and safety education programs and other activities designed to improve departmental and organizational quality and safety.

• Graduate from a Specialty Training Program‑Nursing (Required).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Management (Preferred).
• Basic Life Support Certification (Default Issuing Body).
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania ( of Pennsylvania).

Shift: Day, 7 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.; weekly hours: 36. Every other weekend and holiday requirements.
