Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner locum tenens opportunity in Canonsburg, PA, just outside Pittsburgh, in a supportive community setting with access to local shopping, dining, parks, and outdoor recreation. This outpatient correctional health job offers meaningful patient care, evening shifts, and the independence to practice with strong clinical support.

• Active Pennsylvania Nurse Practitioner license required
• Current Nurse Practitioner certification required
• At least 1 year of clinical experience required
• Previous night shift experience strongly preferred
• Emergency medicine experience strongly preferred
• Ability to work a full-time schedule in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Comfortable caring for adult patients with occasional adolescent needs
• Strong assessment, triage, and independent decision-making skills

• Assess patients entering the facility during overnight hours
• Evaluate and treat acute and chronic medical concerns
• Support initiation of detox treatment in collaboration with nursing staff
• Address urgent and emergent medical issues as they arise
• Provide high-quality care to a primarily adult patient population
• Work independently with on-site nursing support and physician backup by phone
• Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently
• Help ensure continuity of care in a high-volume correctional health setting
