Note:

This is an itinerant position, requiring travel as needed. This position is located out of store number #4647 in Harleysville but will travel to other stores in the designated district.

This position guides daily store activity and ensures high quality service for customers while supporting retail staff. The role focuses on keeping operations organized and helping clerks complete tasks safely and correctly. As a Sales Team Lead, you will perform the following duties:

  • Customer Support: Assist customers with product location, concerns, and safe loading of purchased items
  • Inventory Checks: Record daily merchandise counts and track changes such as breakage or overages
  • Store Procedures: Ensure proper opening and closing routines and verify that registers follow required protocols
  • Cash Handling: Count money accurately, manage access to the safe, and prepare bank deposits
  • Merchandise Setup: Lead shelf stocking, build displays, and ensure product presentation meets store standards
  • Licensee Coordination: Manage licensee orders, communicate issues, and confirm merchandise readiness for pickup

Work Schedule and Additional Information

  • Work hours will vary, totaling 75 hours biweekly.

  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

  • Salary: The starting salary for this position for new Commonwealth employees is fixed at the minimum salary listed above and is not negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements
  • Six months as a Liquor Store Clerk 1 or Intermittent Liquor Store Clerk (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job titles, as determined by the Office of Administration);
    or
  • Six months of retail sales work.
Other Requirements

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements
  • You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
