Industrial Electrician (2nd Shift)
Join our team as an Industrial Electrician working the 2nd shift, playing a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the electrical systems that power our facility. This full-time position offers a challenging and rewarding environment where your expertise ensures operational efficiency and safety.
Primary Duties
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in an industrial setting, ensuring compliance with safety standards and electrical codes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain continuous production operations.
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to optimize equipment performance and implement preventive maintenance strategies.
- Document all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs accurately in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Operate electrical testing equipment and tools safely and proficiently to diagnose faults and verify repairs.
- Assist in the training and mentoring of junior maintenance technicians, sharing knowledge of electrical systems and best practices.
- Follow all company and OSHA safety guidelines strictly to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician or maintenance technician, particularly in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, PLCs, motor drives, and industrial automation.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to diagnostics and repair.
- Effective communication skills to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all relevant codes and standards.
- Flexibility to work the 2nd shift and adapt to the dynamic nature of industrial maintenance demands.
Education / Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent technical training in industrial electrical work strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in industrial electrical maintenance or a related field.
Compensation and Benefits
The US base rate for this full-time position is 31.5. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay equity. Compensation decisions are made based on the specific facts and circumstances of each role and candidate.
