Fleet Technician

Sysco is seeking a skilled Fleet Technician 3 to keep our delivery fleet operating safely and reliably in support of our wholesale food distribution network. In this on-site role, you will inspect, diagnose and repair diesel trucks, trailers and material-handling equipment while performing scheduled preventive maintenance and DOT inspections. You'll use advanced diagnostic tools, maintain accurate service records, and respond to road calls to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and repair diesel and gas-powered trucks, trailers and material-handling equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance, DOT inspections and safety checks on fleet assets
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and brake systems using diagnostic tools
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and comply with Sysco and DOT safety standards
• Respond to road calls and support breakdowns to minimize delivery downtime
• Collaborate with operations and drivers to prioritize repairs and ensure fleet availability
• Order parts and maintain shop tools, equipment and a clean, safe work area
• Support continuous improvement, training and adherence to company policies
