The Carpenter role at 3

Rivers General Contracting is a full-time, on-site position located in the Greater Pittsburgh Region, focused on commercial construction and property restoration projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing rough and finish carpentry, framing walls and structures, installing doors, trim, and cabinetry, and repairing or replacing damaged building components. The Carpenter will safely operate and maintain hand tools and power tools, follow project plans and specifications, and work closely with site supervisors and project managers to meet schedule and quality standards.

Additional tasks may include assisting with demolition and mitigation work, adhering to safety protocols, and maintaining a clean, organized work area on job sites.

• Strong carpentry skills with experience in commercial construction environments.
• Proficiency using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Experience with framing, including walls, partitions, and structural components.
• Skill in finish carpentry, including trim, doors, cabinetry, and detailed interior work.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Commitment to workplace safety and familiarity with OSHA guidelines.
• Reliable transportation to job sites across the Greater Pittsburgh Region.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience in commercial restoration or mitigation is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant trade certifications or apprenticeship completion preferred.
