- Creates and leads the technical design and development of software solutions
- Proposes & designs software solutions to address complex business needs
- Prepares technical and procedural documentation required
- Facilitates complex problem resolution
- Provides technical guidance and support to colleagues
- Reviews coding, testing, and documentation of software
- Applies modern principles, methodologies and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities
- Strong hands-on design and development experience with Java and Spring, banking/payments background is preferred
- Solid understanding of software architecture and microservices
- Experience with Open Shift or Kubernetes is required
- Experience designing and developing solutions using Kafka, MQ and REST APIs
- Proficiency in database design and optimization, including Mongo DB and Oracle DB
- Experience in Dev Ops CI/CD and Jenkins build/deploys
- JavaScript and Angular experience is a plus
- Experience using Eclipse, IntelliJ, Gradle, Maven
- Experience working with Elastic-Search and Redis is a plus
- Strong knowledge of performance tuning, application security, and scalability best practices
- Experience with Agile software development methodology
- Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience
- In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered
Demonstrates expertise in software design and development, particularly with Java and Spring, while applying modern methodologies and tools to create scalable solutions. Proficient in database optimization and Dev Ops practices, with a strong focus on performance tuning and application security.
