Microsoft 365 Expertise
  • Oversee the design, security, compliance and administration of the M365 ecosystem, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, One Drive, and related services.
  • Provide architectural guidance and lead integration efforts with third‑party solutions where required.
  • Lead end‑to‑end technical integration of Microsoft 365 environments during mergers and acquisitions, including tenant‑to‑tenant migrations, licensing alignment, and security posture harmonization.
Technical Leadership
  • Act as a key technical leader for the IT platform team, mentoring junior engineers and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, policies, and procedures for M365 systems.
  • Lead incident management and root cause analysis for complex issues affecting M365.
  • Prioritize and complete tickets according to impact to Sanford Health business functions. The position includes on‑call rotation and supporting critical MIM events.
Job Summary

The Principal Technology M365 Integration Advisor will serve as the technical authority and subject matter expert in designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing Microsoft 365 (M365) environments. This role involves leading architectural design efforts, ensuring the security and scalability of the infrastructure, and driving continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strategic vision, and leadership to enhance M365 solutions.

The position includes oversight of multiple inter‑dependent infrastructure and system integration projects, disaster recovery planning, system resiliency, and the execution of enterprise system roadmaps and migrations.

Responsibilities
  • Management and oversight of multiple inter‑dependent infrastructure and system integration projects.
  • Ensuring completion and alignment to scope, quality, time, and financial requirements throughout project life cycles.
  • Leading the infrastructure organization through disaster recovery, system resiliency, and single‑point‑of‑failure analysis, planning, and preparedness.
  • Building, running, and maintaining processes to support a living infrastructure disaster plan that aligns with critical business needs.
  • Ensuring data recovery, maintenance, data integrity, and space requirements are met across a variety of platforms.
  • Serving as the senior most expert resource to IT groups in planning the resource requirements for systems under development.
  • Performing technical due diligence in system acquisition scenarios and providing executive leaders with analysis, insights, gaps, risks, and opportunities.
  • Developing and proposing enterprise system roadmaps and analyzing systems and future state designs for critical dependencies.
  • Creating proposals, cost estimates, and execution plans, and executing risk mitigation and related system integrations, migrations, and consolidations.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required with fifteen years of information technology and infrastructure leadership and/or hands‑on experience. Also will consider Master’s degree with ten years experience.
