This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tax professional who enjoys leading client engagements, mentoring staff, and playing a key role in shaping the success of a growing office.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the preparation and review of federal and state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations
- Oversee tax planning and compliance strategies to optimize client outcomes and minimize risk
- Manage client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact
- Review work prepared by staff and provide guidance, mentorship, and technical training
- Conduct complex tax research and apply findings to client-specific situations
- Stay current on changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate impacts to clients and team members
- Collaborate with firm leadership on client strategy, workflow management, and office growth initiatives
- Assist in developing and improving internal processes to enhance efficiency and quality of deliverables
- Support business development efforts, including identifying opportunities to expand client services
- Ensure deadlines are met while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and professionalism
- Participate in strategic planning and contribute to the overall success of the Harrison office
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required
- CPA license required
- 5–10+ years of public accounting tax experience
- Proven leadership experience, including reviewing work and mentoring junior staff
- Strong technical knowledge of federal and state tax regulations across multiple entity types
- Experience with tax planning for individuals and closely held businesses
- Excellent client-facing skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships
- Strong organizational and project management abilities
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail
- Self-motivated with a desire to lead and grow within the firm
