Social Worker (LSW, LMSW, or LCSW) – Hospice (Part-Time)
Job SummaryProvide comfort, advocacy, and emotional support to patients and families during one of life’s most meaningful transitions. North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC) is seeking a compassionate Social Worker to join our Hospice team in a flexible part-time role supporting both our inpatient Hospice House in Harrison, Arkansas, and hospice field services across North Arkansas.
This position plays a vital role in helping patients and families navigate emotional, social, financial, and end‑of‑life care needs while working alongside a collaborative interdisciplinary hospice team focused on dignity, quality of life, and compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities- Complete psychosocial assessments and contribute to individualized hospice care plans.
- Support patients and families with advance directives, goals‑of‑care discussions, and end‑of‑life planning.
- Provide emotional support, counseling, crisis intervention, caregiver support, and grief‑related support.
- Assist families with community resources, financial assistance, and placement needs as appropriate.
- Actively participate in the interdisciplinary group (IDG) and hospice care conferences.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with hospice regulatory standards and organizational expectations.
- Support bereavement services and family follow‑up activities as needed.
- Identify and communicate patient or family concerns, safety issues, and psychosocial barriers impacting care.
- Arkansas licensure as an LSW, LMSW, or LCSW.
- Strong communication, assessment, and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Previous hospice, palliative care, healthcare, or behavioral health social work experience.
- Experience with electronic medical records such as Meditech or Matrix Care.
- Part‑Time Position.
