Overview
The Health Program Specialist develops, coordinates, and implements public health programs addressing specific health issues across Arkansas, such as chronic disease prevention, maternal and child health, and infectious disease control. The position supports community health improvement through evidence-based strategies, stakeholder engagement, and interagency collaboration, including program evaluation, educational outreach, and grant reporting.
Key qualifications- Bachelor's degree in public health, health science, social work, education, public administration, or closely related field
- Three years' experience with statutes, policy, or procedures related to adult or child welfare
- Two years' experience in a discipline requiring reasoning skills and objective analysis of facts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and data systems
- Valid driver's license, access to personal vehicle, and clean driving record
- Ability to analyze health data, prepare reports, and communicate effectively with diverse audiences
