Technical Support, IT Consultant, Systems Analyst
Provide technical advice and expertise to systems development project groups in defining, developing and reviewing existing as well as proposed applications for major computer systems; coordinates the activities between users, technicians, computer and communication networks.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIESMinimum Education
- Bachelor's degree/equivalent in computer science, math, or other directly related quantitative degree.
Minimum Experience
- Five (5) years related development and programming experience.
Knowledge
Skills and Abilities
- Experience in the technical design and development of major data processing projects.
- Strong knowledge of software engineering principles.
- Skilled in one or more programming languages used by Fed Ex Freight
- Knowledge and experience with distributed systems, client/server technology, object oriented (OO) development, and/or case tools.
- Proven experience in a technical advisory, consulting, or specialist role.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to translate technical details into business-friendly language.
- Some travel required

This position can be domiciled at any Fed Ex Freight location within the continental US. You will be required to work at a Fed Ex Freight location several times per week.
