Hire Works is seeking a Supply Chain Systems Analyst to support and optimize supply chain operations for a manufacturing client. This position will focus on purchasing, inventory management, ERP system functionality, and process improvement within a high-volume manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will serve as a key liaison between Supply Chain, Operations, and IT teams to ensure data accuracy, system efficiency, and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Support ERP system applications related to purchasing, inventory control, and supply chain operations.
- Maintain accurate item master data, vendor records, pricing, lead times, and inventory parameters within the ERP system.
- Create, track, and manage purchase orders while monitoring supplier performance.
- Monitor inventory levels to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent shortages or excess inventory.
- Support demand planning and replenishment activities to align material availability with production requirements.
- Partner with production, warehouse, and inventory teams to ensure accurate inventory transactions and system integrity.
- Analyze inventory trends, usage patterns, and variances to identify improvement opportunities.
- Troubleshoot ERP system issues related to purchasing, inventory management, and order processing.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and KPIs including inventory turns, fill rates, supplier performance, and inventory accuracy.
- Assist with cost reduction initiatives, cost avoidance strategies, and alternative sourcing opportunities.
- Participate in ERP system enhancements, upgrades, testing, and process improvements.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to improve workflows and maximize system utilization.
- Train end users on purchasing and inventory management processes and ERP best practices.
- Support cycle count programs and physical inventory activities.
- Manage assigned supplier and commodity categories.
- Cross-train across purchasing and supply chain functions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
- 5–10 years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, inventory control, ERP systems, or related functions.
- Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred.
- Hands‑on experience with ERP systems, particularly purchasing and inventory management modules.
- Strong understanding of procurement, inventory control, and supply chain best practices.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
- Ability to analyze large datasets and identify discrepancies, trends, and process improvement opportunities.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Supplier management and negotiation experience.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multiple departments.
- High attention to detail with a focus on data integrity and accuracy.
