The operator is responsible for removing molded parts from the molding machine, inspecting plastic parts, removing flash if necessary, inspecting for quality of parts, and then packaging parts. This position is also responsible for the initial quality inspection of the plastic part being produced in their work area by performing the following duties.

• Communicates with their supervisor when issues occur, packages parts, and labels correctly.
• Performs any tasks asked and/or assigned by their direct supervisor or the management team.
• Maintains a neat material storage area and ensures that the area is free from tipping or falling material hazards.
• Review blueprints or other instructions to determine operational methods or sequences.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Exhibit exemplary attendance and punctuality.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience, Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

• Prior operating experience is a preferred.
• The ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
• The ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, take time to understand the points being made, and ask questions as appropriate.
• The ability to keep hands and arms steady while moving arms or holding arms and hands in one position.
• The ability to provide a high level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
• The ability to quickly move hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
• The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
• The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• The ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
