Part-Time Retail Sales Associate

Cox Communications is looking for a Part‑Time Retail Sales Associate who creates those experiences; someone who connects easily with others and can drive sales while making customers feel special. This role requires working evenings, weekends and holidays, reporting to the Store Manager and following guidance from the Assistant Store Manager and other team specialists.

• Explain and demonstrate product capabilities and offer suggestions based on customers' wants and needs
• Meet or exceed targets regarding customer experience, sales, and retention
• Assist with the opening/closing of a store retail environment
• Properly handle cash
• Engage in workshops, special events, and product demos
• Support fellow sales agents when needed
• Continuously expand knowledge of current Cox products and competitor offerings through training
• May be required to work in other locations within the same geographical area

Compensation is a variable targeted total of $33,304 (hourly base $17.00+ with targeted commission of $639/month). Compensation may vary by location, experience and sales performance, with a two‑month ramp period.

• HS diploma/GED or up to 2 years of relevant work experience
• Ability to meet sales, retention, and customer experience targets
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for a consultative sales approach
• Ability to build relationships with a diverse customer base
• Ability to multi‑task and prioritize in a fast‑paced team environment
• Mobile within the store for long periods to greet customers and demonstrate products
• Computer literacy with aptitude for learning communications products and services
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Ability to lift 25‑50 pounds for stock room inventory

• Some college experience focused on sales, business or management
• One year of experience in related field (sales, retail, service industry, etc.)
• Experience selling wireless or mobile products
• Fluency in Spanish, written and spoken

Pay range: $15.29 – $22.88 per hour with eligibility for an annual incentive/commission target of $7,674.
