Youth Programs - Regional Development School Goalkeeping Coach

Position Summary

The New York Red Bulls Regional Development Schools (RDS) are seeking an experienced goalkeeper coach to deliver the RDS curriculum at clinics and camps, coach the summer and winter RDS Showcase Team goalkeepers, and provide limited support to Academy Foundation Phase (U10 to U12) teams as needed.

• Provide goalkeeper‑specific supplementary training, focusing on technical, tactical, physical and psychological development in line with the RDS Curriculum.
• Attend weekly RDS Team meetings to discuss player development matters.
• Assist with revision and evolution of goalkeeper‑specific curriculum.
• Drive the RDS Showcase process by selecting teams, leading practices, and providing game‑day coaching for tournaments and games.
• Support Academy Foundation Phase teams, assisting head coaches with training sessions, game days and seasonal tournaments as required.

• Available five afternoons/evenings per week plus all weekends.
• Available up to two weekday mornings (each week) for staff training workshops and team meetings; specific days vary per schedule.
• Work approximately 18 to 30 hours per week during a twelve‑month period; all hours are paid hourly.
• Employment commences in August for the fall season; full‑availability coaches receive preferential assignments to double‑camp programs (30 hours per week) and residential camps in summer, plus priority in scheduling winter hours.
• Guaranteed a minimum of 180 coaching hours in spring and fall seasons and at least one 15‑hour camp per week during summer.
• Attend mandatory paid pre‑season orientation event.

• USC National Goalkeeper diploma preferred.
• USSF C license (or equivalent) preferred.
• Minimum of three years of coaching experience, with at least two years in the U.S.
• Bachelor’s degree in a sports‑related field preferred.
• Valid driving license and personal vehicle for transportation.
• Clean criminal record.

The base hourly range for this position is $38–$53, plus an hourly administrative rate of $16. Actual hourly rates may vary based on coaching qualifications. The base pay range is subject to change.
