Role Overview
The OR Tech III collaborates with perioperative nurses to organize and deliver age-specific patient care, ensuring a safe surgical environment and expected physiologic responses during procedures.
Responsibilities- Assist in preparing the operating room and surgical equipment
- Maintain sterile techniques and ensure patient safety
- Support various service lines including robotics, vascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, plastic, and trauma cases
- Communicate effectively with team members and make calls as needed
- Work independently and multitask efficiently
- High school diploma or equivalent and surgical technician training
- 2-3 years of relevant experience
- Certification as a Surgical Technician (NBSTSA) and BLS certification
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and multitasking skills
- Provide age-specific patient care in the operating room
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and sterile procedures
- Support surgical teams across multiple service lines
- Maintain effective communication and work independently
