We are currently seeking a Full-Time Front Desk Agent / Night Auditor to join our team. This dual-role position is responsible for delivering outstanding guest service at the front desk while ensuring the accuracy and completion of overnight financial and operational processes. As a Front Desk Agent, you will serve as a welcoming and professional representative of the property, assisting guests with arrivals and departures, managing reservations, answering questions, handling incoming calls, and providing information about hotel services and local attractions.
As a Night Auditor, you will oversee the overnight operations of the hotel, including balancing daily revenue and expense transactions, reconciling accounts, preparing audit reports, processing end-of-day procedures, and completing administrative tasks to support smooth hotel operations.
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and customer-focused, with the ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
Rate:$21.25 per hour, with an additional $1.50 per hour overnight differential for shifts worked as the Night Auditor.
Essential responsibilities include but are not limited:
- Deliver exceptional guest service by providing a warm, professional, and welcoming experience throughout the guest journey, including arrivals, departures, and throughout the stay.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for guests by assisting with check-ins, check-outs, reservations, special requests, inquiries, and providing information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.
- Answer and direct incoming calls, respond to guest communications, and ensure requests are handled promptly and professionally.
- Process reservations, guest registrations, payments, and account transactions accurately while following established hotel policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate guest records, reservation details, cash handling procedures, and credit card transactions while ensuring compliance with security and privacy standards.
- Address guest concerns, requests, and service recovery opportunities with professionalism and urgency, escalating issues to management when appropriate.
- Perform overnight Night Audit responsibilities, including balancing daily revenue and expense transactions, reconciling guest accounts, reviewing discrepancies, running audit reports, and completing end-of-day procedures.
- Prepare and communicate shift reports, including important guest updates, operational concerns, completed tasks, and items requiring follow-up.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and other hotel departments to ensure accurate room status updates and timely resolution of guest and operational needs.
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the front desk, lobby, lounge, and other guest-facing areas to ensure a welcoming environment.
- Assist with hotel safety and security procedures, including monitoring access points, reporting incidents, and following emergency protocols.
- Maintain knowledge of hotel policies, procedures, and local area information to provide accurate and helpful assistance to guests.
- Work independently during overnight hours while maintaining a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to guest satisfaction.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support overall hotel operations.
Requirements/
Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality or accounting coursework preferred.
- Previous front desk, accounting, or hotel experience is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with hotel property management systems (PMS) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong math and basic accounting skills; ability to balance cash drawers and reconcile accounts.
- Comfortable using phones, email, and standard office equipment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to provide professional, courteous service and resolve guest issues calmly and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently.
- Reliability and punctuality; must be available to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
- Ability to multitask and remain composed under pressure.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
