An established food-sector organization is looking for an experienced HR professional to partner with leaders across multiple New Jersey facilities. This role is suited to someone who enjoys solving employee issues directly, coaching managers, and bringing consistency to HR practices across locations. The primary worksite is in nearby Kearny.
The Role- Be a trusted HR contact for employees and managers at more than one facility.
- Guide managers through employee relations, investigations, performance concerns, and workforce needs.
- Manage core HR processes, including onboarding, leave, workers' compensation, and compliance.
- Support HRIS, payroll administration, benefits, and I-9 audits.
- Help supervisors apply policies consistently and deliver practical training.
- 7+ years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in HR management or a comparable leadership role.
- Professional fluency in Spanish and English.
- Hands-on experience supporting multiple facilities and advising operations leaders.
- HR experience in food or beverage preferred; manufacturing experience required at minimum.
- Strong employee relations skills and working knowledge of New Jersey employment law.
- Experience with HRIS and payroll administration.
- Ability to work onsite in Kearny, travel periodically to another New Jersey facility, and make occasional trips to Canada.
You’ll have direct access to facility leaders, broad responsibility across HR, and the opportunity to improve how employees and managers are supported. There are no direct reports today, though the team may grow.
