We're seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Manager to lead and oversee our service department operations. This role requires a strong combination of technical expertise, leadership, and customer service skills. You will be responsible for managing technicians, driving service excellence, ensuring operational efficiency, and building lasting customer relationships.
Job Responsibilities- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the commercial HVAC service department.
- Supervise, mentor, and support service technicians to ensure high-quality workmanship and professional growth.
- Schedule and coordinate service calls, preventive maintenance agreements, and emergency response activities.
- Monitor department performance, productivity, and profitability while identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure technicians have the tools, training, materials, and support needed to perform their work efficiently.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring exceptional service and customer satisfaction.
- Assist with troubleshooting complex HVAC system issues and provide technical guidance when needed.
- Collaborate with sales, project management, and operations teams to support company objectives.
- Manage service budgets, labor utilization, inventory, and departmental expenses.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, company policies, and applicable codes.
- Support business growth by identifying service opportunities, maintenance agreements, and value-added solutions.
- 10+ years of experience in commercial HVAC service, service management, or related leadership roles.
- Strong technical knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, including boilers, chillers, RTUs, VRF systems, controls, and building automation systems.
- Proven experience managing technicians, service operations, and customer relationships.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong understanding of service scheduling, dispatching, and operational performance metrics.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- EPA Certification required.
