The WORKlife Specialist is responsible for developing, defining, and executing the strategy that positions First Financial as ‘The’ community bank for businesses and organizations to provide or expand financial wellness benefits to their employees/members at no expense to the employer. The WORKlife Specialist reports into the Retail Bank and will operate within designated financial centers, districts, and regions, being accountable for executing and achieving the retail and consumer bank’s goals and objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with Retail Banking leadership and the WORKlife Program Manager to implement consumer bank strategies and objectives that attract, retain, and grow core business and commercial relationships in local communities.
  • Develop and implement engagement strategies and plans for districts and markets, establishing behaviors and routines to achieve success in the WORKlife Program.
  • Manage WORKlife efforts within assigned districts and/or regions, ensuring all accounts are onboarded and receive ongoing focus.
  • Initiate and maintain client and prospect contact through timely and relevant strategies, creating personal sales plans to capitalize on leads and campaigns.
  • Proactively engage existing and new business owners and key decision‑makers to establish opportunities that drive new membership to the WORKlife Banking Program, anchored with a core checking account.
  • Collaborate with commercial, business banking, treasury, retail, and other partners to offer the WORKlife Banking Program and present it holistically to companies, organizations, employees, and communities.
  • Serve as a knowledge leader, presenting and organizing all resources—educational offerings, bank store materials, marketing collateral, presentation decks, products, services, relationship benefits, and program‑specific resources—to business owners and employees.
  • Support the WORKlife Program Manager and Retail Leadership on complex client situations, identify new introductions, and pursue opportunities across all served markets.
  • Liaise and serve as a trusted advisor for financial center teams and associates, influencing program enhancements and increased impact of WORKlife initiatives.
  • Participate in bank marketing and sales efforts, contributing to district and regional programs that promote the organization’s strategic priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with all bank, loan, and regulatory guidelines, maintaining operational excellence for loan and deposit portfolios.
  • Identify and develop the WORKlife book of company and organization relationships, fostering new opportunities and deepening existing ones.
  • Conduct group presentations and 1:1 consultations with company employees and leaders, educating them on First Financial banking solutions including loans, deposits, wealth, planning, and financial wellness.
  • Lead regional and district meetings and huddles to align sales and service activities, prioritizing actions and resources across teams.
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales goals, collaborating with lines of business to help clients meet their financial needs.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to bank associates, educating others on program activities, successes, and performance.
  • Hold periodic meetings with district, market, and regional leadership to align resources and establish strategic priorities.
  • Create powerful partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to generate plans, strategies, and tactics serving small businesses and owners.
  • Leverage district and regional connections to market campaigns, promotions, and products tailored to businesses and their employees.
  • Achieve performance outcomes for the district and region from a WORKlife perspective, leading local teams through coaching, development, and performance management.
  • Ensure adherence to all compliance and regulatory procedures related to the bank’s operations.
Qualifications
  • 5‑7years of client experience in banking or financial services with a focus on businesses and organizations, or in a retail or business banking role.
  • 5‑7years of sales and service experience, with a proven track record of achieving sales and service goals in a retail or business environment.
