Preventative and routine maintenance of the primary and support equipment and facilities used to repair and manufacture products; manage projects for process improvement, development and shop support.

Responsibilities
  • Performs preventive maintenance on CNC and manual machining equipment (lathes, mills, and grinders), plunge and wire EDM, vacuum/atmosphere furnaces, thermal spray equipment and various other plant machinery and equipment.
  • Performs electrical maintenance, repair work, and troubleshooting on equipment.
  • Installs equipment for new electrical services (120 v, 240 v, and 480 v three‑phase), including wiring, conduit, panels, breakers, contractors, relays, timers and controls for various plant machinery.
  • Operates a variety of standard power tools and equipment.
  • Maintains records and logs, as needed.
  • Guidance and direction will come from experienced maintenance Leads; performs related duties as needed or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduation from high school, Military, or Technical School and a minimum of three years of experience in a variety of trades or construction work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of electrical codes, practices, tools, and equipment associated with electrical and production plant machinery.
  • Considerable knowledge of and ability to use standard hand and power tools and equipment employed in maintenance activities.
  • Considerable knowledge and application of safety standards and precautions pertaining to electrical work.
  • Ability to work from sketches, drawings, and blueprints.
  • Ability to use ladders, scaffolding, and operate hand and power tools in a safe, efficient manner.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions and to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others; excellent work history and attendance record.
