General Information:Student Box Office Assistants sell tickets for up to 200 ticketed events a year at the Forbes Center for the Performing Arts at James Madison University. These include music, theatre, and dance events.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesConduct point-of-sale computer ticketing sales from the box office including phone orders, in-person orders, returns, exchanges, and unpaid ticket transactions. Prepare sales reports and end-of-night reconciliations. Provide excellent customer service.
Qualifications- Customer service experience.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and day shifts Monday to Friday.
- Ability to work under pressure and be very detail-oriented.
- Problem-solving and decision-making are required.
Students must be degree-seeking students, enrolled on at least a half-time basis (6 credits for undergraduate and 5 credits for graduate).
