Administrative Support

Now hiring for a full-time administrative support role with a pay range of $18–$20 per hour. This temp-to-hire opportunity is through AtWork Personnel in Harrisonburg. The ideal candidate will support billing, accounting processes, compliance, and office coordination. If you take pride in accuracy, staying organized, and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, this could be a great fit.

Responsibilities include:

  • Daily responsibilities: customer billing, proofing, and filing; tracking route customers and service labor billing; processing cash receipts and preparing deposits; maintaining customer ledgers and files; taking bank deposits as needed; maintaining checkbook and internal financial tracking.
  • Weekly responsibilities: payroll reports and journal entries; 401(k) deposits; time and leave tracking; processing credit card payments.
  • Monthly responsibilities: generating customer statements; completing bank reconciliations; managing month-end A/R processes; tracking specialty billing; preparing chemical labels.
  • As-needed responsibilities: collection letters and debt follow-up; contracts and quotes support; insurance audits; advertising coordination; employee benefits administration; processing new hires, terminations, and hiring ads; insurance allocations; maintaining software systems; tracking employee training; customer credit references; annual regulatory filings; travel arrangements for service technicians; general file maintenance, organization, and office support.

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in doing things right: 2+ years of administrative, accounting, or office support experience; strong Excel and computer skills; high attention to detail; ability to stay organized and manage multiple responsibilities; strong communication and follow-through. Experience with accounting systems is helpful, especially as we transition to ODOO.
